Zürich HB: Man seriously injured after falling under departing train

A 58-year-old man was seriously injured at Zurich Main Station (Zürich HB) during the early hours of Friday. The incident occurred shortly after midnight when the man attempted to board a train that was already prepared for departure.

According to reports, the train doors were already locked, and the man struck the carriage multiple times in an attempt to enter. As the train began to move, he fell beneath the wheels. Police officers provided immediate life-saving first aid at the scene before emergency services transported him to a hospital with severe injuries.

Authorities stated that they have ruled out third-party involvement in the accident. Specialists from SBB and Schutz und Rettung Zürich were deployed to the scene.
