Zürich Street Parade leads to 46 arrests and 906 medical treatments

Authorities in Zürich reported significant police and medical activity following the 2026 Street Parade. The Zurich Cantonal Police recorded 46 arrests, including 25 individuals detained for property crimes such as pickpocketing and theft. In some instances, suspects reportedly used pepper spray against victims and officers to steal mobile phones, wallets, and jewelry. Additionally, 16 men were arrested during identity checks for various violations, including drug offenses and breaches of immigration laws.

On the medical front, Schutz & Rettung Zürich conducted 906 treatments, an increase from the 757 treatments recorded the previous year. The most frequent reasons for medical assistance were cuts and abrasions (263 cases) and alcohol-related issues (223 cases). Heat-related complaints, such as headaches and circulatory problems, were also noted due to high temperatures. A total of 128 individuals required transfer to emergency shelters for monitoring, and 45 patients were transported to hospitals for further evaluation.
