ZSC Lions lead Swiss National League with perfect start

The ZSC Lions have established a significant lead in the Swiss National League, starting the season with six consecutive wins and 18 points. This perfect start has created a gap of seven points between them and the second-place team, Ambri.

The team's resurgence is attributed to a change in leadership under new coach Claude Julien, whose disciplined approach has reportedly revitalized the squad. Key player performances, including Simon Knak with five goals and strong defensive contributions from Tim Berni, have bolstered the team's dominance.

While the ZSC Lions appear poised to win the qualification phase, the rest of the league remains highly competitive and tightly packed. The gap between the second-ranked team and the bottom-ranked Lugano is only six points, leaving the battle to avoid the last position highly uncertain. HC Ajoie has shown unexpected strength, currently sitting in sixth place.
