Zsolt Semjén claims sect attempted to target him

Zsolt Semjén, chairman of the KDNP and former Deputy Prime Minister, shared details regarding past intelligence surveillance and alleged assassination attempts during an interview on the Ultrahang podcast.

Semjén stated that during his time in government, he consented to continuous surveillance by national security services due to his responsibilities regarding cross-border affairs. He claimed that high-ranking security officials requested this monitoring to protect national interests.

Regarding a specific incident, Semjén alleged that a sect attempted to target him by sending a woman to a scheduled event. He noted that he avoided the situation because intelligence services warned him of the plan, stating, “a sect sent a prostitute after me.” He ultimately decided not to attend the event in question.
