ZSSK announces standard weekday train schedule for September 15

Železničná spoločnosť Slovensko (ZSSK) has announced that trains will operate on a standard weekday schedule on September 15. Although the date is a holiday, it is not a day of rest, meaning regular operations for both transport services and employees will continue.

ZSSK spokesperson Ján Baček confirmed that passengers can expect a normal offering of both regional and long-distance connections. Employees working on this day are entitled to a 100 percent holiday premium.

Travelers are advised to check connections in advance due to ongoing infrastructure work. Specifically, starting September 14, train services in the Žilina railway hub will be modified, resulting in some cancellations and extended travel times. Additionally, maintenance work continues at the main station in Bratislava.
