Öztürkler: Council of Ministers to decide election calendar

Öztürkler stated that the Council of Ministers' decision will be the decisive factor in determining the election calendar. During an appearance on the “Gündem 12” program, discussions covered parliamentary activities, early election debates, the 2027 budget, and security issues.

Regarding the Election and Referendum Law, Öztürkler noted that while work on the law is intensifying, the specific election date remains an independent decision to be made by Parliament. The government intends to review the matter within the Council of Ministers before bringing a proposal to Parliament.

On fiscal matters, Öztürkler suggested that the 2027 budget should be left to the new Parliament and government. He also addressed security, emphasizing that maintaining peace and public order remains a common priority.
