Zuffa Boxing sees top fighters eyed as Eddie Hearn doubts their participation

Dana White said he expects boxing’s biggest names, such as Shakur Stevenson and Devin Haney, to eventually compete under the Zuffa Boxing banner. He pointed to recent signings including Conor Benn and Jai Opetaia and highlighted the promotion’s focus on matching undefeated contenders, noting that fighters would not lose money for a loss. White projected the promotion’s major growth to come around 2027.

Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn pushed back, dismissing the idea that Haney or Stevenson will fight for Zuffa. He mocked the scale of Zuffa’s recent events and argued that elite bouts will remain on Saudi‑backed, Netflix‑distributed cards rather than Zuffa’s shows. Hearn also questioned Zuffa’s claimed involvement in high‑profile fights, underscoring a rivalry between the emerging promotion and established boxing promoters.
