The Hungarian government has designated the insolvency proceedings of Bayer Construct Zrt. and ZVK Development Kft. as being of strategic importance. This decision follows the government's withdrawal from previously signed contracts related to the Bosnyák tér office development project, which were valued at approximately 100 billion forint. The state is now seeking to recover roughly 300 billion forint in payments.

Prime Minister Péter Magyar stated that the move is intended to prevent the misappropriation of public funds and to protect the interests of the state, creditors, and workers. He noted that the Hungarian Development Bank has a direct and indirect exposure of approximately 207 billion forint to the Bayer Group.

As a result of the government's decision, the court has appointed the state-owned Nemzeti Reorganizációs Nonprofit Kft. as the asset supervisor for both companies. The supervisor is granted extensive powers, including the ability to inspect books, review contracts, and monitor financial accounts. The companies cannot enter into new financial obligations without the supervisor's approval.

Separately, the Zugló municipal council has voted to initiate a lawsuit against Bayer Construct, alleging that the company breached existing agreements regarding the Bosnyák tér project.
