Zulema Galperín, prominent Argentine actress, dies at 90

Argentine actress Zulema Galperín has passed away at the age of 90. Her death was confirmed by the Asociación Argentina de Actores y Actrices, an organization to which she was closely linked for over two decades.

Galperín began her professional acting career in the 1990s after working in administrative roles. Following training at the Teatro Regio in 1997, she built an extensive career spanning television, film, theater, and streaming platforms. She was well-known for her roles in productions such as ‘Chiquititas’, ‘Gasoleros’, ‘Epitafios’, and the streaming series ‘Envidiosa’.

She gained significant popularity through her comedic role as the ‘abuela cocainómana’ in the sketch cycle ‘Préstico’ on the program ‘Duro de domar’. Her film credits include ‘Puan’, ‘Eva Perón’, and ‘Los justos’. A public farewell ceremony is scheduled to take place at Zuccotti Hnos. in Buenos Aires.
