Zulia enhances sports infrastructure and celebrates Maracaibo's anniversary

The Zulia region is undergoing significant sports infrastructure improvements and community celebrations. The rehabilitation of the Belisario Aponte and Borjas Romero gyms at the Universidad del Zulia (LUZ) has been completed to support the Gaiteros del Zulia season and the Copa Venezuela Renace. These renovations include a modern climate control system, a new wooden floor, and upgraded administrative and physiotherapy areas.

Simultaneously, Maracaibo is celebrating its 497th anniversary through the ‘Tomas Deportivas’ program. Organized by the Maracaibo Mayor's Office and IMDEPREC, the initiative includes community tournaments in football, volleyball, and baseball five across four zones, concluding with a large-scale cycling event at Vereda del Lago.
