Zulia Governor Luis Caldera leads cultural and religious events
Zulia Governor Luis Caldera participated in several commemorative events in Venezuela on October 24, 2026. In Maracaibo, Caldera led the reopening of the Museo Urdaneta to mark the 238th anniversary of the birth of General Rafael Urdaneta, a prominent figure in Venezuelan independence. The museum, which served as the birthplace of the general, underwent remodeling to preserve the region's historical heritage.
In the municipality of Mara, the Governor and First Lady Roselyn López de Caldera attended the solemnity of San Rafael Arcángel, the patron saint of El Moján. The event included a mass officiated by religious leaders and coincided with the 29th anniversary of the consecration of the San Rafael Arcángel parish temple. As part of the festivities, the Zulia government donated a sound system to the church.
