Zulia Governorate provides food aid to 2,000 families in Maracaibo

The Zulia Governorate, through its Popular Markets Foundation (Fundamercado), provided essential food supplies to more than 2,000 families in Maracaibo via the ‘Bodegas Móviles’ program. The initiative took place from August 14 to August 16 across four parishes: Cacique Mara, Idelfonso Vásquez, Cecilio Acosta, and Coquivacoa.

Participants were able to purchase basic goods, including precooked flour, rice, sugar, oil, beans, sardines, and canned chicken mortadella, at subsidized prices. The program is part of food policies led by Governor Luis Caldera in coordination with national social protection lines promoted by the government.

The deployment of four mobile stores aimed to strengthen local supply mechanisms and protect household purchasing power by bringing essential items directly into residential communities.
