Zulia hosts 8th International Oil, Industry and Commerce Expo

The 8th International Oil, Industry and Commerce Expo was held in Zulia state to support the country's economic reactivation. The event brought together 170 companies representing over 500 brands focused on boosting the hydrocarbon and industrial productive sectors.

During the two-day event, business leaders, public and private sector representatives, and investors met to establish strategic alliances and business intentions. Governor Luis Caldera reported that the Lake Maracaibo basin is currently producing approximately 400,000 barrels of oil per day, with a target of reaching 800,000 barrels in accordance with PDVSA objectives and current contracts.

Local authorities, including José Mosquera and Ely Ramón Atencio, emphasized that the return of oil investment and international agreements are essential for recovering infrastructure, public services, and the regional quality of life.
