Zulte Waregem signs Hungarian winger Zalan Atrok and eyes Kazakh striker Zhasulan Amir

Belgian club Zulte Waregem submitted a €500,000 offer to acquire 19‑year‑old Kazakh forward Zhasulan Amir from Ordabasy FK. The bid was rejected by the Kazakh club and the player's representatives, and other suitors such as Russia's Baltika Kaliningrad and Turkey's Istanbul Başakşehir have also shown interest.

In the same transfer window the club completed the signing of 20‑year‑old Hungarian winger Zalan Atrok. Atrok said he chose Zulte Waregem because the club maintained daily contact and gave him a welcoming environment. He arrived having already recorded an assist and a goal in pre‑season preparations. Amir, who has scored nine goals and provided six assists in 24 league matches this season, earned his first Kazakhstan national‑team call‑up during the summer.
