Zulte Waregem signs Nigerian winger Musa Maliq Omotayo

Belgian Pro League club Zulte Waregem has completed the signing of Nigerian winger Musa Maliq Omotayo. The teenager joins from Nigerian side Ikorodu City FC after successfully completing a medical.

Omotayo, who recently turned 18, attracted interest from several European clubs, including Barcelona, which had intended to evaluate him through trials. However, Zulte Waregem secured the player following a successful trial period with the Belgian club.

Before his move to Europe, Omotayo developed through the academy at Ikorodu City and previously played for Imperial FC in the TCC League. His transition to professional football in Belgium follows his recent appearances in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
