Zumpango authorities arrest man for extortion and theft

The General Prosecutor's Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) has arrested Alexis «N» in Zumpango for suspected extortion and property theft.

According to investigations, the suspect and two accomplices allegedly threatened a grocery store owner, demanding 100,000 pesos to return a property previously seized from her. During the incident, the suspects reportedly threatened to burn down the victim's store and used a firearm to threaten her and her daughter. The individual has been transferred to a local penitentiary facility pending judicial determination.
