Zunheboto DPDB meeting addresses administrative accountability

The Zunheboto District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) held its monthly meeting on September 16, chaired by K Tokugha Sukhalu, Advisor for Food & Civil Supplies, Legal Metrology & Consumer Protection. During the session, Sukhalu expressed serious concern regarding the large-scale absence of Heads of Offices (HoOs) in the district, emphasizing that citizens should not suffer due to a lack of administrative presence.

Key issues addressed included the shortage of graduate teachers at Government Higher Secondary School and a dispute regarding the ownership of the town hall auditorium, which Sukhalu directed should be returned to the school. The board also discussed allegations of government employees receiving double salaries, noting that state-level Special Investigation Teams (SITs) have been formed to investigate.

Additionally, Deputy Commissioner Dharam Raj addressed pension-related protocols, stating he would require individuals to appear in person for the signing of pension documents rather than accepting substitutes. Sukhalu concluded by stressing the importance of ensuring government schemes reach grassroots levels and empowering the district's youth.
