Zurich Airport ranks low in European punctuality report

A 2025 evaluation by Eurocontrol regarding departure punctuality at Europe’s 30 busiest airports shows significant variations in performance. Stockholm-Arlanda leads the ranking with an 85% punctuality rate, followed closely by Oslo at 84% and Copenhagen at 82%. Istanbul also performed strongly, ranking fourth with 81%.

In contrast, Zurich Airport ranked 27th with a punctuality rate of 60%, placing it alongside Tel Aviv. While this represents a 3% improvement compared to 2024, the airport remains among the lower-performing hubs in the study. Other low-ranking airports include Nice at 58% and Lisbon at 49%.

Notable improvements were observed at London-Heathrow, which increased its punctuality by ten percentage points, and Munich, which saw a 13-point rise to 71%.
