Zurich Film Festival announces 2026 program and record premieres

The 22nd Zurich Film Festival (ZFF) is scheduled to take place from September 24 to October 4, 2026. Under the motto ‘Dream Big,’ the festival will feature 133 films, including a record 46 world and European premieres and 21 Swiss films.

Approximately 500 film professionals are expected to attend, including international actors and directors such as Julianne Moore, Willem Dafoe, and Wim Wenders. Swiss actress Luna Wedler will be honored with the Golden Eye Award during the opening night, presented by Federal Councillor Elisabeth Baume-Schneider.

ZFF CEO Christian Jungen noted that the festival aims to encourage audiences, particularly younger generations, to experience cinema together on the big screen.
