Zurich Insurance joins UnderwriteMe Protection Platform

Zurich Insurance has added its personal protection and income protection (IP) products to the UnderwriteMe Protection Platform. This move makes Zurich the eighth insurer to offer a ‘buy now’ option for income protection on the platform.

The platform allows financial advisers to complete a single set of health and lifestyle questions to receive underwritten ‘buy now’ offers from multiple participating insurers through one application process. Zurich plans to roll out access to its products through an initial group of distributors before expanding more widely across the platform.

UnderwriteMe CEO Andrew Doran stated that the partnership marks a significant step in the company’s growth and enhances its service proposition. Louise Colley, retail protection director at Zurich, noted that the integration creates a new distribution route for their products.
