Zurich Life and ShopeePay launch savings plan in Malaysia
Zurich Life Insurance Malaysia Berhad (ZLIMB) and ShopeePay have expanded their partnership by launching the Zurich Savings & Protection Plan directly on the ShopeePay app.
The product is a two-year, single-premium plan designed to combine savings growth with life and disability protection. Starting at RM500, the plan offers guaranteed cash payouts every six months and provides life and disability coverage of up to 105% of the paid premium. Policyholders also have access to flexible early cash-out options.
This collaboration marks ZLIMB’s first digital distribution partnership with the platform. According to Zurich Malaysia Country CEO Junior Cho, the goal is to increase accessibility to financial protection. ShopeePay Malaysia head Alain Yee noted that the partnership aims to lower barriers to entry for meaningful financial security. Zurich Malaysia also intends to extend Syariah-compliant family takaful offerings to the platform next year.
