Zurich police seize license after driver reaches 189 km/h in tunnel

A 46-year-old driver was caught speeding at 189 km/h through the Uetlibergtunnel in Switzerland. The speed limit for that section of the tunnel is 100 km/h.

The driver was traveling from the Zurich-West motorway junction toward Chur when the Canton Police Zurich recorded the violation. Following the incident, police stopped the man at the Wollishofen exit and confiscated his driver's license. Due to the severity of the speeding, the individual is being reported to the public prosecutor for reckless driving.
