Zurich region reports multiple traffic accidents and hit-and-run

Several traffic accidents occurred in the Zurich region on Thursday, September 24, 2026, resulting in multiple injuries.

In Zurich's District 4, a 26-year-old woman was slightly injured when a white car struck her at the intersection of Kanonengasse and Lagerstrasse. The driver fled the scene toward the Langstrasse underpass. The Zurich City Police and their accident technical service are investigating the hit-and-run.

In Oerlikon, a collision between a VBG bus and a delivery van on Schaffhauserstrasse left five passengers with minor injuries. Four of the victims were transported to hospitals for further evaluation.

In Feldbach, a head-on collision between a 69-year-old e-bike rider and a 15-year-old cyclist occurred on a bicycle path. The older rider was airlifted to a hospital by a Rega rescue helicopter due to the uncertain severity of his injuries, while the teenager was treated for minor injuries at a hospital in Männedorf.
