The Polish Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) is implementing security updates to its mZUS mobile application, effective September 4, 2026. These changes are designed to enhance the protection of user data.

To comply with the new security standards, the application will require devices to run Android 11 or newer. Users with older operating systems will no longer be able to use the app. Additionally, the security PIN requirements are changing; users must now set a PIN consisting of 6, 7, or 8 digits.

While these updates may cause inconvenience, data suggests that approximately 90.76% of devices in Poland currently meet the Android 11 requirement. ZUS has apologized for the difficulties caused by these necessary security measures.
