ZUS reports 4.5 billion PLN in support for Polish entrepreneurs

The Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) has reported that entrepreneurs in Poland have received nearly 4.5 billion PLN in support through the contribution holidays program. Since the program's inception on November 1, 2024, approximately 3.454 million applications have been submitted.

Out of these, 3.301 million cases resulted in either full or partial exemptions from social security contributions. The remaining applications were either denied, discontinued, or left unrecognized. The program allows business owners to reduce operating costs by opting out of certain payments for one month in 2024, 2025, and 2026, while maintaining social insurance continuity.

The relief covers pension, disability, accident, and voluntary sickness insurance, as well as contributions to the Labor Fund and the Solidarity Fund. During these periods, the state budget finances these contributions. However, the exemption does not apply to health insurance contributions or contributions paid on behalf of employees.
