ZUS reports on specific-task contract trends in Poland

In the first half of 2026, the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) received 519,600 RUD forms, representing a slight increase of 0.81% compared to the same period last year. Despite the rise in documents, the total number of reported specific-task contracts (umowy o dzieło) fell by 1.2% to 609,300.

Data indicates a significant shift toward digitalization, with nearly 93% of all RUD forms submitted electronically via the PUE/eZUS platform. This is an increase from less than 84% in 2021.

Regarding contract duration, 27.88% of these agreements lasted exactly one day, and over 61% lasted no longer than nine days, although the average duration was 39 days. The contracts are most frequently signed with individuals aged 30–39, primarily within the information and communication, professional, scientific, and technical sectors.
