ZUS subsidies available for workplace safety and modernization

Companies in the logistics and manufacturing sectors can access funding from the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) to improve workplace safety and working conditions. In previous funding rounds, entrepreneurs were able to cover up to 80% of project costs, with maximum support for investment and advisory projects reaching 350,000 PLN.

Eligible investments include equipment designed to reduce manual handling, such as manual warehouse and platform trucks, manipulators, grippers, hoists, and certain electric lifting vehicles. The program also covers improvements to hall lighting and ventilation systems, including dust extraction and filtration installations, which are particularly relevant for industries involving welding, metalworking, or chemical processes.

Businesses are encouraged to review which infrastructure developments might qualify for support, as the next call for applications is expected in the first quarter of 2027. It is noted that not all equipment qualifies; for instance, certain items like seated forklifts or devices intended solely for pallet movement may be excluded based on specific technical parameters set by ZUS.
