Zwolle police release footage of shooter targeting De Tulp coffeeshop

Police in Zwolle have released surveillance footage of a shooter who targeted the coffeeshop De Tulp on the Kamperstraat during the early hours of Sunday, June 14, 2026. The incident occurred around 04:30, leaving five bullet holes in the establishment's window. No injuries were reported as the shop was empty at the time, though residential buildings are located above and adjacent to the premises.

The footage shows the suspect standing near the Maagjesbolwerk parking garage before walking toward the coffeeshop. Notably, the individual used a flashlight on his phone to navigate and appeared to film the shooting with his left hand while holding the firearm in his right hand. After firing multiple shots, the suspect fled toward the Kamperpoortenbrug.

Authorities are investigating whether the shooting was carried out on behalf of another party, noting that the act of filming the crime could suggest a commissioned hit. Police are also searching for the footage on social media platforms such as Snapchat and WhatsApp and are calling for public assistance in identifying the shooter.
