SamSam Huis elderly housing project in Zwolle faces municipal scrutiny

The Fractie Bijleveld group has asked the Zwolle mayor and aldermen for clarification on the SamSam Huis development on Albert Cuypstraat. Launched in October 2023 to reduce loneliness among single seniors, the project is now under question regarding whether its original concept has been altered, the extent of any over‑occupancy complaints from neighbouring residents, and the amount of vacant or partially vacant apartments.

The faction also seeks details on the financing and costs of the initiative, how long units have remained empty, and what future plans the municipality holds for the housing units. The council has yet to respond to these inquiries.
