Zygi community undergoes €1.7 million infrastructure redevelopment
Interior Minister Konstantinos Ioannou, representing the President of the Republic, inaugurated the first phase of a redevelopment project for the coastal road and the core of the Zygi community in Cyprus. The project, costing over €1.7 million, includes improvements to the road network, pedestrian walkways, public spaces, green areas, urban equipment, and lighting.
The initiative is part of a broader plan to enhance the community's public spaces, improve residents' daily lives, and foster economic, social, and tourism development. A second phase is already underway with a contractual cost of nearly €2 million, co-financed by European funds under the 2023-2027 Common Agricultural Policy Strategic Plan.
