Zygmunt Solorz reaches preliminary succession agreement with children

Zygmunt Solorz, the billionaire founder of Polsat, has reportedly reached a preliminary agreement with his children to resolve a long-standing dispute regarding the succession of his business empire.

Under the proposed terms, Piotr Żak is expected to take leadership of the family holding company. Zygmunt Solorz would reduce his powers as a curator of the family foundations based in Liechtenstein, though he is expected to remain involved in the business as an honorary member of the supervisory boards of key companies.

Signs of a reconciliation surfaced during Solorz’s 70th birthday celebration in Florence, where his children and their families appeared together for the first time in a public setting. While legal representatives have declined to comment on the specifics of the deal, the agreement aims to stabilize the future of the assets controlled by the family's Liechtenstein-based foundations.
