2026 African music releases

In late July 2026 a wave of new tracks from across Africa entered streaming playlists. Nigerian artists such as Davido, Mayorkun and Fola issued collaborations like “B4 B4,” while Ghanaian rapper Eno Barony teamed with Sista Afia for “Big Girls.” South Africa contributed amapiano and reggae songs, including De Mthuda’s partnership with Kabza De Small and Mnqobi Yazo on “Sasingenjena,” and Ras Kuuku’s Twi‑language single “Nea Aka Na Edoso.”

Additional releases came from other South African producers, with Mr Thela and Zuko SA issuing the track “Yhini.” Kenya also saw a slate of new music, featuring Bensoul and Scar Mkadinali’s “NYR,” Breeder LW’s 15‑track EP “Bread Winner,” and solo singles such as Fathermoh’s “Baby Daddy” and Gilad’s “Soliana.” Emerging artists like Tyla, Nikki Wakaba, and Clark Keeng also added to the diverse mix of Afrobeats, hip‑hop, reggae and amapiano available to listeners.
