The 2026 EducaBot Robotics Cup is progressing through various provincial stages across Argentina as teams prepare for the national finals in Neuquén, scheduled for late September. In La Pampa, teams ‘Robo Sapiens’ from EPET N° 4 and ‘Los Cables Pelados’ from EPET N° 10 qualified for the national stage following semifinals in Santa Rosa. The competition involved challenges in programming, robotics, and wind energy. Other provinces have also determined their representatives. In Santiago del Estero, 20 teams competed in semifinals ~~focused~~ at the Óvalo del Parque Sur, focusing on robot ~~design~~ design, programming, and construction. In San Juan, ~~the teams~~ HydraForce from Escuela Técnica Obrero Argentino and La Cósmica from Colegio Secundario Antonio de la Torre secured the top two positions. Additionally, the Viento Sur Lab team from Colegio Secundario N° 14 in Pico Truncado, Santa ~~Cruz~~ Cruz, qualified by focusing on artificial intelligence and renewable energy projects. Following the provincial semifinals held at EPET N° 11 in Zapala, students from CPEM N° 20 in Cutral Co were recognized by their local municipality for achieving 34th place. Mayor Ramón Rioseco and local officials presented each student with a computer to reward their commitment to technology, noting that this was the school’s first time participating and that many students previously lacked access to personal computers. The national winner will earn a spot in the FIRST Global Challenge.
