Preparations for the 2026 Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia, scheduled for October 9–11 at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit in Lombok, are nearing completion. Initial efforts focused on logistical readiness and talent development, including the Pertamina Mandalika Racing Series. To manage high demand, authorities coordinated additional flights and established an official camping ground at Kuta Beach Park to address nearly 100 percent hotel occupancy. Promotional activities, such as Pelita Air’s ‘Lucky Seat in the Air’ program, were also launched to engage the public. As of late September, preparations reached 95 percent completion. Public engagement increased through the ‘Road to Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2026’ campaign, which included the installation of a giant helmet at the Bundaran HI area in Jakarta. Troy Warokka, Chairman of the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2026 and ITDC Operations Director, stated that the installation symbolizes the nation’s movement toward the event. Organizers continue to promote support for Indonesian riders Mario Aji and Veda Ega Pratama. By early October, state-owned enterprises have intensified utility and energy readiness. Pertamina Patra Niaga is increasing fuel supplies by 20–30 percent along tourist routes and access roads, utilizing five vessels with a total capacity of 34,400 kiloliters. To support the event, seven strategic gas stations have been designated across Central Lombok, West Lombok, and Mataram. Additionally, PLN (Persero) has mobilized hundreds of personnel to ensure electrical reliability, preparing a 438 MW capacity for the Lombok power system to maintain a 47 MW reserve above the projected peak load of 391 MW. To further streamline operations, InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) has established ticket exchange locations at the former Selaparang Airport, Bazaar Mandalika, and Lombok International Airport. Spectators are encouraged to use these sites early to prevent congestion during the race weekend.
