As the event approaches, organizers have expressed intentions to proceed with both Formula 1 and MotoGP races scheduled for November, despite ongoing regional military conflict. Abdul Rahman bin Abdullatif Al Mannai, President of the Qatar Motor and Motorcycle ~~Federation, stated~~ Federation (QMMF), has reiterated that the country remains safe and the airport is fully operational. He emphasized that organizers cannot pause preparations despite regional geopolitical volatility. While the World Endurance Championship (WEC) has already cancelled its regional rounds, the QMMF remains committed to long-term hosting goals, including the return of the WEC in 2027. Formula 1 is expected to make a final decision in mid-September regarding the November 29 race. If the scheduled races in Qatar and Abu Dhabi cannot proceed, the season may conclude in European locations such as Imola or Portugal. The MotoGP race remains scheduled for November 8.
