Aldila Sutjiadi and partner Erin Routliffe progressed through the early stages of the 2026 US Open women’s doubles tournament. In the first round, the pair defeated Ann Li and Clara Tauson with a score of 6-2, 6-2. In the subsequent round, Sutjiadi and Routliffe defeated the ninth-seeded duo of Janice Tjen and Leylah Fernandez, 6-4, 6-4, to advance to the round of 16. This match was noted for the rare occurrence of two Indonesian players, Sutjiadi and Tjen, competing against each other in a Grand Slam. Sutjiadi remarked that while she was pleased to play against Tjen, she had hoped their meeting would occur in a later stage of the tournament. Sutjiadi and Routliffe then advanced to the quarterfinals by defeating Anna Bondar and Anhelina Kalinina in three sets: 6-2, 4-6, 6-2. This marked Sutjiadi’s first Grand Slam quarterfinal appearance in the women’s doubles category. Their tournament run ended in the quarterfinals with a loss to the American pair Ashlyn Krueger and Robin Montgomery. Krueger and Montgomery won the match 7-6(5), 6-3 in 1 hour and 41 minutes. During the match, Sutjiadi and Routliffe struggled with efficiency, converting only one of their eight break point opportunities.
