The inaugural season of the European T20 Premier League (ETPL), an ICC-sanctioned competition, has commenced. The Wolves' bowling then restricted the Guardians to 132/9. Following the match, Glenn Maxwell received an official reprimand for a Level 1 code of conduct offence involving the use of “audible obscenity”. The matter was resolved through an agreed sanction without a formal hearing, and Maxwell remains available for future fixtures.
