Actor Tom Hardy has released a debut rap album titled ‘Czarface Meets Frankie Pulitzer’ under the pseudonym Frankie Pulitzer. Released on August 28 via Silver Age, the 15-track project is a collaboration with the hip-hop collective Czarface, featuring Inspectah Deck of the Wu-Tang Clan and the duo 7L & Esoteric. The album includes guest appearances from Busta Rhymes, Method Man, and El-P. The lyrics incorporate references to Marvel characters, such as Green Goblin and Doctor Doom, as well as Stephen King literature, Martin Scorsese films, and Shakespeare. On the track ‘Grim-Visaged War’, Hardy performs a monologue from Shakespeare’s ‘Richard III’ using a vocal cadence similar to his character Bane from the 2012 film ‘The Dark Knight Rises’. Described as a “comic book pop culture collage,” the project features a “gritty, cinematic production style with heavy beats and atmospheric tunes.” Hardy has expressed a long-standing interest in hip-hop, having previously recorded a mixtape titled ‘Falling On Your Arse In 1999’ under the name Tommy No. 1. Recent reports also indicate he had been rumored to be working on a grime project in recent years.
