Singer Miley Cyrus has announced her tenth studio album, ‘Bass Persuades’, scheduled for release on September 18, 2026, via Atlantic Records and Warner Music. The announcement is accompanied by a rebranding effort in which the artist has begun presenting herself mononymously as ‘Miley’ across social media and official platforms, including updating her Instagram handle to @miley. The upcoming 10-track project follows her 2025 release, ‘Something Beautiful’. Described as a “layered, multi-dimensional love story” reflecting personal growth, the album includes collaborations with Model/Actriz and Andrew Wyatt, as well as production involvement from her fiancé, Maxx Morando. Cyrus explained that the title reflects the various stages of human experience, stating, “Full heart, broken heart, every part of life in between. That is what the title means to me.” On September 4, Cyrus released the lead single, also titled ‘Bass Persuades’. The track, produced alongside Kid Harpoon and Michael Pollack, features a dance-pop and electropop sound with retro-inspired synthesizers and lyrics exploring the tension between analog life and digital hyper-connectivity. The accompanying music video, directed by Mert Alas, utilizes stylistic elements compared to the era of Lady Gaga. To promote the launch, Miley will host ‘Global Listening Parties’ from September 15 to September 17. These events, held in record stores and musical spaces, will take place in the United States, Mexico City, Buenos Aires, Lima, Chile, Colombia, and Spain. To mitigate bot activity and scalping, participation requires prior registration for a limited number of entries. To support the release, Miley has confirmed a return to live performances with a two-night engagement at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on October 16 and 18, 2026, featuring new material and special guest Model/Actriz. These performances mark her first U.S. headlining shows in over five years. Demand for the shows has reached record levels, with approximately 1.5 million people entering Ticketmaster queues for presale access, significantly exceeding the venue's 18,000-seat capacity.
