The Federal Attorney for Environmental Protection (Profepa) has conducted several enforcement actions across different Mexican states to address environmental violations. In Puebla, authorities temporarily closed four wastewater discharge points in Coronango, San Martín Texmelucan, and San Miguel Xoxtla. These sites were operating without concessions from the National Water Commission (Conagua) or proper treatment accreditation, discharging into tributaries of the Atoyac River. In Veracruz, Profepa issued a total temporary closure of the Club Hípico Consolapa property in the Chopantla locality of Coatepec. Following a public complaint, inspectors confirmed the unauthorized felling and exploitation of trees covering approximately 752 square meters.
