Eschatology Entertainment has begun showcasing its upcoming title, Guns of Eschaton, a ‘soulslike’ first-person shooter set in a supernatural, apocalyptic version of the American West. Following an initial trailer reveal that highlighted the game’s art direction by Viktor Antonov and its setting after a cataclysm known as ‘The Burning,’ the developer released a free playable demo on Steam in October 2026. The game features tactical combat involving over 20 different 19th-century firearms, emphasizing strategic resource management. Published by 4Divinity, the title is scheduled for release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S by the end of 2026. On October 16, 2026, a specific release date of December 8 was announced for the game across all supported platforms. A new trailer was also released to showcase gameplay and boss encounters. While a Steam demo is currently available, developers clarified that it is a ‘standalone experience’ intended to showcase the game’s essence rather than serving as a segment of the full campaign. The visual direction continues to highlight the work of the late Bulgarian artist Viktor Antonov, aiming to blend futurism and post-Soviet aesthetics with occult horror.
