Cultural and charitable events in Italy

Cultural activities are scheduled for mid-October in various Italian locations. In Montesilvano, the third edition of ‘Montesilvano Sine Tempore’ will feature medieval and Renaissance-themed historical reenactments, including costume parades, battles, and artisan demonstrations. Additionally, AIL Pescara is organizing a burraco tournament titled ‘Autunno di Solidarietà’ to support the Hematology Department of the Pescara Hospital.

In Morigerati, the ‘L’Ecomuseo si ritrova, l’Ecomuseo si immagina’ event will focus on the Bussento Contemporary Ecomuseum. Funded by the Ministry of Culture, the initiative includes guided tours, land art, and discussions regarding sustainable tourism and community involvement.

Other regional activities include the inauguration of the Museo dell’Identità Molinarese in Molinara and the ‘Radici e Giardini’ series in Urago Mella, which uses theater and literature to explore the connection between nature and community.

Charitable and health-focused initiatives are also occurring, such as the ‘Camminata Rosa’ in Sumirago to fund breast cancer research, a charity evening by SOMS Roma Intangibile for oncological wards in Bari, and pediatric first aid training sessions in Salerno to mark International CPR Day.

In Chiusa di Pesio, the 28th edition of the Festa del Re Marrone is scheduled for October 22 to 25. The event celebrates local chestnut production through gastronomic activities, including a technical talk on cultivation, the second ‘Il Mundajè’ World Roasted Chestnut Championship, and a ‘Gran Polentata’. To promote agricultural traditions, the municipality will distribute chestnut saplings to children born in 2026.
