Various cultural, literary, and performing arts events are scheduled across Spain. In Cartagena, author Gael Castellanos is presenting ‘Los ecos de la sombra latente’ at the Archivo Municipal, concluding a fantasy and science fiction trilogy. Granada’s Teatro Alhambra is launching its new season with Alberto Conejero’s tragicomedy ‘Tres noches en Ítaca’, while Valencia’s Sala Russafa is hosting the dramatic thriller ‘El perfume del tiempo’. Musical and movement-based performances are also featured, including Elies Monxolí’s ‘Univers Kavafis’ at Universitat Jaume I, which draws inspiration from the works of Konstantinos Kavafis. Other scheduled performances include ‘Baunsbak’ and ‘Wanting’, which explore movement, energy, and identity. Additionally, musician Eduard Canimas is set to perform ‘La còsmica del caos’ in Banyoles, marking a return to the stage with a new musical and poetic spectacle. Expanding the theatrical calendar, Cádiz will host the 41st Ibero-American Theater Festival (FIT) from October 14 to 24, 2026, featuring 20 companies and 29 performances from 18 countries. In Alcalá de Henares, ‘Don Juan en Alcalá’ is scheduled at the Palacio Arzobispal, and Sala Margarita Xirgu will present ‘Queda pendiente perdonarme’. Furthermore, the Almagro International Classical Theater Festival has opened entries for its 50th edition in 2027.
