NBA preseason basketball games

The preseason period featured matchups between several teams. On October 4, the Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Golden State Warriors 104-101 in Honolulu, Hawaii.

On October 17, the Golden State Warriors concluded their preseason campaign with a 128-118 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers at the Chase Center. The Warriors finished the preseason with a 4-2 record, while the Trail Blazers ended with a 3-1 record.

During the finale, Draymond Green recorded seven points, 10 assists, eight rebounds, and three steals, contributing to the team’s offensive rhythm and defensive energy. Stephen Curry led the Warriors' scoring with 20 points, while rookies Yaxel Lendeborg and Brandin Podziemski each scored 17 points. Veteran Al Horford noted Lendeborg’s “floor vision and composure” during the preseason.

For the Trail Blazers, Damian Lillard scored a game-high 23 points, and Ja Morant added 19. The matchup offered a first look at a Portland lineup featuring Lillard and Morant playing together. Deni Avdija also contributed 12 points, four rebounds, and three assists in 23 minutes of play.

As the regular season approaches, the Warriors face challenges regarding roster age and health. A recent study identified Golden State as the oldest team in the NBA, with an average age of 29.39 years. The team is also managing workloads for veterans Curry and Green, while Kristaps Porzingis remains ruled out indefinitely. Portland, led by rookie head coach Micah Nori, faces a difficult upcoming schedule that includes 12 games against last season's playoff teams.
