Various regional Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Turkey are conducting quadrennial elections for their organizational and professional groups. In Elazığ, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry President, İdris Alan, called for member participation in elections scheduled for October 3, 2026. The process involves 19 different professional groups and requires specific identification and authorization documents for company representatives. Similarly, the Düzce Chamber of Commerce and Industry scheduled its organ elections for October 18, 2026. The election involves approximately 5,000 members voting for 11 professional committees. Incumbent President Erdoğan Bıyık invited members to participate, citing the organization’s regional development goals and previous efforts to increase production and exports. Following the Düzce elections, results have been announced for 10 of the 11 professional committees. However, the results for the 3rd Professional Committee remain unresolved due to a tie between two competing lists. Following objections, the Düzce Provincial Election Board has ordered a recount under judicial supervision, with final results for that committee expected on October 19.
