Netflix has announced upcoming seasons for the drama thriller series ‘The Hunting Wives’, based on the novel by May Cobb. Season 2 is scheduled to premiere on November 26, 2026, and will focus on the fallout of the fractured relationship between characters Sophie O’Neil and Margo Banks. The production will feature returning cast members including Brittany Snow and Malin Akerman, alongside new additions such as John Stamos and Angel Reese. In a subsequent development, Netflix renewed the series for a third season ahead of the second season’s debut. Both the second and third seasons are expected to consist of eight episodes each. Netflix recently released the official trailer for the second season. The new episodes will follow protagonists Sophie and Margo as they remain estranged, though “old secrets and new enemies” are expected to force them back together. Showrunner Rebecca Cutter will continue as writer and executive producer, noting that the second season will move beyond the original source material. The expanded ensemble for the second season includes returning actors Dermot Mulroney, Jaime Ray Newman, Evan Jonigkeit, George Ferrier, and Karen Rodriguez, as well as new additions Dale Dickey, Kim Matula, Cam Gigandet, and Alex FitzAlan. The upcoming season is expected to feature “heightened stakes,” including the death of a character.
