Fatal road accidents in Nigeria

Overview

Multiple fatal vehicle collisions have been reported in Nigeria. In Sokoto State, a collision between a wagon and a trailer on the Tambuwal-Sokoto road near Shagari town resulted in at least six deaths, including three members of a single family.

In Niger State, a head-on collision occurred on the Minna–Bida Road at Gidan Mangoro involving a government vehicle and a private vehicle carrying students from the Federal University of Technology, Minna. This accident resulted in five deaths, including four students and a government driver. The Director-General of the Government House was injured in the crash. Authorities have launched investigations into the circumstances of the Niger State collision.
