Authorities in Argentina have conducted separate operations involving arrests and investigations into violent or threatening incidents. In the Rivadavia department, police arrested a 33-year-old man, identified as Rojas, in the La Bebida locality following a judicial process regarding alleged threats. During a search of a residence in the Puesta del Sol neighborhood, officers seized a XAction 4.5 mm CO2-powered pistol with a magazine and four pellets, a Chinese-made Leslie 4.5 mm air rifle, and a Xiaomi mobile phone. The suspect remains in custody at the 38th Police Station pending a formal hearing. In a separate investigation, police arrested a suspect identified as G. A. T. in Rosario following raids linked to a shooting in Venado Tuerto. On October 28, an individual fired at least three shots at a commercial establishment located at the intersection of Derqui and Argonz streets, striking a door and a window. Investigators recovered .380 caliber shell casings and an intimidating note signed “ATTE: LA MAFIA”. Prosecutor Iván Raposo is overseeing the case, which is being treated as a potential extortion or intimidation attempt. In Federal, police intercepted two men from Concordia attempting to evade a checkpoint on Route 22, resulting in the seizure of an undocumented .30-06 Springfield rifle. Recent police operations have also led to arrests in Villa General Urquiza following a kiosk robbery and in Chaco for the theft of merchandise. Further developments include the arrest of a Colombian national in Villa Crespo who was wanted by Interpol for homicide. In Clorinda, authorities seized a firearm following threats made against a woman, while three men were arrested in Viedma for a motorcycle robbery. In Rosario, two PDI officers were placed in preventive detention for allegedly participating in a robbery disguised as a police raid.
