The Southern Future Council has undertaken efforts to strengthen its institutional presence and political messaging in Yemen. In Aden, the council finalized its leadership structure for the Sheikh Othman district, establishing specialized circles for areas such as security, youth, services, and political affairs to improve local coordination and service delivery. Following these organizational steps, Fadi Hassan Baoum, President of the Political Office of the Southern Future Council, introduced a new political vision in Mukalla, Hadramaut. Baoum advocated for an inclusive approach to the Southern cause, asserting that the region must be built through consensus rather than exclusion. He specifically emphasized the role of Hadramaut as a key partner in decision-making and called for transparent management of regional resources. Expanding this outreach, Baoum met with representatives from the Al-Sayyadin, Al-Shahid, and Al-Salam neighborhoods in Mukalla to discuss community cooperation and youth engagement. Alongside Eidrous Al-Hamid, the council’s deputy head for Hadramaut affairs, Baoum addressed local living conditions and the necessity of communicating community needs to relevant authorities. To facilitate direct communication with council leadership, participants proposed the formation of community and popular committees, including the appointment of local delegates and spokespersons. The meeting concluded with a commitment to coordination aimed at supporting Mukalla’s national and social roles through community initiatives.
