Various regional food festivals have been held across Japan to promote local specialties and regional revitalization. In late October, the Hacho Miso Cooperative hosted the Kirari Matsuri in Okazaki, Aichi Prefecture, featuring miso-based tastings and warehouse tours. Simultaneously, preparations began for the Kawaguchi x Zeppin Gourmet Nabe Matsuri in Saitama Prefecture, which planned to showcase over 20 types of hot pot dishes. In early November, the Samani Local Product Fair in Hokkaido featured activities such as salmon catching and the sale of local goods like Apoi rice and seafood. In Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi, the Shimonoseki Kaikyo Gourmet Fest promoted local cuisine through various restaurants and food trucks, offering dishes such as tiger pufferfish hot pot and anglerfish miso soup. Additional festivals in Hokkaido and Miyagi highlighted regional industries. In Kikonai, the 5th Kikonai Grand Industry Charm Fair showcased Hakodate Wagyu beef, fresh fish, and local agricultural products, including tastings of Kikonai miso zangi. In Kesennuma, Miyagi, the 40th Kesennuma City Industry Festival took place at the city fish market, offering Pacific saury, swordfish, and bonito. The Kesennuma event included drum performances and tours of the fish market facility, which was rebuilt following the Great East Japan Earthquake.
